JOIN THE REVOLUTION, CLIMATE ACTION NOW

When reflecting on what I was going to say for this 3min talk I had mixed emotions present themselves.

First I was excited, I thought yeh, I can rev people up in the crowd and get people excited to take action on climate change.

I left it for a few days and sub-consciously kept pondering about what I was going to say.

Tuning into Bendigo's Creative Communities

I write this letter in response to the recent article “Protests bad for business” where Bendigo and Adelaide Bank chairman Robert Johanson expressed concern about the impact on business and the reputation of Bendigo.

Sure recent events are not good for our City and we should continue to work on addressing these issues amongst the various avenues that exist.

But when it comes to what we communicate about our town, there is much to celebrate and share with the rest of the world.

A Letter to the Editor - Opportunities for the Discovery Centre

We are writing to express our strong support for the ongoing operation of the Bendigo Discovery Science and Technology Centre.

With our  engineering and science backgrounds we just love that this facility exists in Bendigo.  It’s a great community asset that provides easily accessible, fun, engaging learning experiences in science and technology.

The Discovery Centre is important for our region and needed.

We know who we are

It's been a weird week for Bendigo. I wasn't really tuning into it at first. I knew there was disagreement by some residents in Bendigo to the proposal for a mosque to be built in Bendigo. I didn't really think much of it, I thought it was just one or two people with this view and that it's really no issue because everyone is entitled to their own opinions and views.
